- Attacks with spark as opposed to Freeze. Inflicts Stun with some attacks as opposed to leak.
- Has crystals on parts of its body, as one of the main indications of an Ashwrought.
- Its drill has a different design in comparison to the other Barbarius variants.
- Has access to 2 new attacks: Spark Shots and Furious Charge.
- It's back is weak to Melee pierce. Something unique to Barbarius Ira.

Charge Spear
- Unlike other Barbarius, Barbarius Ira's back/torso is weak to melee pierce damage which opens up more opportunities for Charge Spear to take advantage of and allows it's aerial Burst Arts to shine a bit more. However, it is not that well suited for breaking the drill.
Recommended Burst Arts:
- If you can get behind it Berserk Crush allows for a continued assault against it's tail.
- Mocking the Gods and Ground Zero can help in breaking the drill since they pierce armour but can only be safely used during Ira's longer openings.
- Akashic Breaker and Valkyrie Glide can take advantage of Barbarius Ira's new weak point on it's back and close distance while dealing a large amount of damage
- Spear requiem and Fallen Tear can reap the benefits of increased downed damage with an easy to hit weakpoint on it's back and also take advantage of attacks with large openings while striking the tail.
- By turning to face away from it right after hitting, You can make the backflip of Hit and run jump over Barbarius Ira which sets you up perfectly for a Stardust Rain follow-up on it's back weakpoint.

Enraged Effects
Rage Indicator
- As an Ashwroght, Barbarius Ira will release high density Oracle Cells when enraged. These steadily heal itself, all God Eaters HP and OP as well as any other Aragami on the map. This last as long as it is enraged but can be disrupted by binding it.
- One noticeable indicator of Barbarius Ira's rage is that like any other Ashwroughts, its eyes will glow in purple flames.
Unbounding Tips:

Drill

Tail

- Drill Swipe: Barbarius Ira swings it's drill once.
- Drill Rampage: Barbarius Ira swings it's drill back and forth 3-5 times in succession (starting right to left).
- Excavating Swing: Barbarius Ira quickly plunges it's drill into the ground before swinging it back up. Will launch 3 rocks in front of it when enraged.
- Reversal Swing: Used when the target is behind Barbarius Ira. Barbarius Ira starts turning left before doing a full right swing to strike behind it, creating Bolts of lightning as it does.
- Stalagmites: Low health attack. Barbarius Ira raises it's drill before planting it into the ground and proceeds to drill into the ground. after a few seconds, it will quickly jab it's drill into the ground and stalagmites will appear all around Barbarius. Has two different area of effects depending on the Barbarius Ira's condition (If enraged, the AoE is larger).
- Drill Run: Barbarius Ira pulls back and starts charging towards it's target. This charge will end with a leap as it pierces the ground with it's drill
- Furious Charge: Barbarius Ira raises it's drill high into the air and then reels back for a swift charge attack followed by a destructive leap with a large area of effect around it. The initial charge has a long windup but is very fast, has quite long range and will stun on hit, leaving you vulnerable to the follow-up.
- Raging Underground Strike: Barbarius Ira briefly readies it's drill in front of it before jumping and burrowing into the ground. It will follow you underground and then swiftly resurface beneath you. Bolts of lighting will appear around Barbarius Ira when it re-emerges, signaled by yellow circles on the ground. There is debris signalling it's position underground and it will resurface after it reaches your position (if you are in it's range) Both the initial jump and the resurfacing can damage you. Disabled once Barbarius’ drill is broken.
- Raging Underground Dives: A stronger version of raging underground strike. Barbarius Ira readies it's drill for much longer than Underground Strike and dives underground. It will dolphin dive out of the ground to close distance much faster and will resurface with a slight delay indicated by the ground being broken apart where it will re-emerge. The initial jump, dives and the resurfacing will damage those caught in it's path. Bolts of lightning will appear when it goes underground and when it emerges from the subterranean levels. Disabled once Barbarius Ira’s drill is broken.
- Stream of Lightning: Barbarius Ira raises it's drill, surrounding it with electricity before it plants the drill into the ground. Numerous Bolt s of Lightning will quickly emerge from the drills position and chase it's target.
- Spark Shots: Barbarius Ira stands up straight, aiming it's drill in front of it and fires four projectiles in the following order: straight in front, left, right and then a final charged shot in straight in front. These shots have weak homing.
- Mouth Beam: Barbarius Ira leans forward, lowers it's head and fires a long range beam of electricity from it's mouth. Hits multiple times if blocked normally.
