Character Episodes are sub-scenario story events that concern characters in God Eater 2. They do not affect the main story but can implement minor changes into NPCs or gameplay. DLC and Updates added more Character Episodes. You can check what content has been added by checking the DLC page

Character episodes can concern anything about a character like weapons, food, bullets, traps, small stories, and humor. Each Character episode furthers the bond between characters; each time having new information provided. Character episodes when completed can give different rewards or no reward. Rewards for completion consist of: enable NPC trap usage, NPC stun grenade usage, NPC recovery pillar usage, NPC Blood Art usage, NPC Blood Art growth/NPC Blood Bullet gain, NPC Skill gain, unlock new items, NPC battle style modification (like Oracle Reserve enabled), or NPC in-battle speech change(Erina).

Character Episodes - God Eater 2

It is said that there is not much diffrence from the GE2 Character Episodes and the GE2RB Character Episodes. The main diffrence is the Items and materials that certain characters ask for. Ciel Alencon - 6 episodes

Gilbert McLane - 10 episodes

Episode Number	What To do
Episode 1	Talk to Gilbert. Episode should clear after Cut scene
Episode 2	Talk to Gilbert. He will ask for 2 fangs each from a Ravana and an Ukonvasara , Talk to him a second time and he will ask you on a mission. Episode should clear after mission.
Episode 3	Talk to Gilbert. Episode should clear after Cut scene
Episode 4	In Gilbert's Episode 4 , one needs 夜叉兜片 and 鳥神腱 which come from Yaksha/Yaksha Raja and Chi-you/Fallen Chi-you.
Episode 5	In Gil's episode 5, equip an upgraded Shirogane Blade (you can take it off after finishing conversation with Gil before mission). Note: When you get the Rank 1 Shirogane blade, you must upgrade it to the Rank 3 version of the same blade.
Episode 6	For Gil's episode 6, you'll need 堕鳥翼x1、雷砲体x1、氷砲体x1 which respectively can be gained from Fallen Chi-You, Fallen Zygote(spark), and Fallen Zygote (freeze).
Episode 7	For Gil's 7th episode, you have to equip the upgraded Shirogane Blade again.
Episode 8	For the 8th of Gil's episodes, 獣神雷牙x1、女王牙x1、夜叉乱糸x1 are the materials to give him. Defeat Vajra, Prithvi Mata, and Yaksha/Yaksha Raja respectively for the materials.
