God Eater Offshot (ゴッドイーター オフショット, Goddo ītā ofushotto) is a Photography game was exclusively released in Japan for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4. The game spans with multiple volumes. 4 weeks (estimated) after God Eater Resurrection (JP) was released. Volume 2 was released on November 26, 2015. each volumes were released until Volume 7, which is the last one, released on April 21, 2016.
The release of Offshots has some bundle along that seems to be a "Twin Pack" and the GOD EATER Anime with it's special design Blu-Ray.
Summary[]
The story starts at Volume 2. Lindow Amamiya calls the protagonist out of the blue, asking for a favor that was about half a year ago. Related to the Fenrir's Public Relations Department. A request of an article about the First Unit's members. They were also tasked to do external collaborations, photographers and reports and such... But Lindow has completely forgotten about the request. And so Lindow puts the protagonist in charge on this project (both cameraman and reporter). And throughout the story, Lindow will stick closely with the First Unit and gathers information on each members. After this, you will interview the First Unit Captain first, which is Lindow Amamiya. The story progresses on for each First Unit Members per volume (separated games).
Gameplay[]
The game is outside of it's Action-RPG genre, focusing on Photography/Photoshoot Game.
Story - regular story mode like the previous games but only offers a few cutscenes. and can be replayed once all is finished, Story overall is very short. Side characters do appear as well in the background when you look around.
Two-Shot Mode - a Free Mode where you can select a character two characters, yours and a specific character (default characters selections are Yuu Kannagi and Aki Tamashiro if you don't have your character imported). You can pick few locations and equipment modes, though mostly the equipment isn't always available to other locations except the Training Grounds. The mode also offers a small selection of expressions and poses.
Character Data Import - This feature let's you import you GOD EATER RESURRECTION (JP) Save Data. Which the game grants you to use your own character that you can take a shot with a specific character you picked (which will select your character immediately instead of Yuu or Aki).
Link Benefits - Each volume has this feature (except Volume 2) also acts like a Data Import and requires the past game volume save file to be present. This feature gives you extra chapters. This is useful for Volume 7 as the past volumes are already inside that volume. Once all volumes are linked to Volume 7 this will unlock another a special of Volume 7. A "Vacation Special/Version" that has a selection of female God Eater characters that you've seen in Resurrection but they are wearing summer outfits to fit the Beach scenery.

- Some GOD EATER BURST DLC outfits (Kota's Bugarally, Alisa's Bikini, Soma's Butler, Shio's Uniform), seems to appear in their extra stories. (exclude Sakuya's china dress).
